See cleric and 11 others announce withdrawal from c**t group

Adeola Abdul-Rasheed, and 11 other made their renouncements at the premises of Ewekoro Local Government, under the supervision of the Police Commissioner of Ogun State.

News reports have revealed that an Islamic cleric, alongside 11 others have publicly renounced their membership of cult groups, as well as signing a letter of undertaking to remain stand up citizens, in Ogun State.

Adeola Abdul-Rasheed , and 11 other made their renouncements at the premises of Ewekoro Local Government, under the supervision of the Police Commissioner of Ogun State, as well as other village heads, led by Fatai Akamo , the traditional ruler of Itori land.

The transformed cultists rae reported to have been earlier arrested over cultist activities by the police.

Following further investigations and subsequent interventions by some personalities within the community, they were all considered for amnesty under the conditions that they would publicly renounce their occultic membership.

They are reported to have individually taken oaths with either the Holy Bible or the Koran as their religions required.

Mr Abdul-Rasheed, who is said to be the oldest of the group, speaking on his renouncement, revealed that he had now seen reasons to renounce the occultic group, saying that he would not be going back on his words.

The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State,
Abdulmajid Ali , during his speech, said the event had been historic, making it clear that Abdul-Rasheed and the other 11, had been granted amnesty.

Mr Ali went on to plead with other cultists within the state who are still in hiding, to refrain from occultic activities and publicly denounce their occult groups to avoid prosecution by the police.
