Primary school pupils stage protest over mass sack of their teachers by state government in Kaduna

The pupils of the LEA Kawo primary school in Kaduna state staged a protest earlier today in the state over the sack of some of their teachers by the state government.

Sometimes last month, the state government carried out a competency test for teachers in the public service and over 21,000 of the teachers failed the primary four questions given to them. Now the pupils are demanding that their teachers be reinstated. They say they would not be returning to school until their teachers are reinstated.
